The approximate distance from Bangalore to Goa is 560kms and it takes more or less 9 long hours. Anyways one who is planning to hit the highway from Mangalore has to drive down the coastal highway, the National Highway 17, which connects Mangalore to Goa en route State Highway 7. The approximate distance from Mangalore to Goa is 360kms. Well, if you are holidaying in Kerala and all of a sudden you chance upon further couple of idle days, then your drive from Kozhikode to Goa will be one of the most enchanting drives. It covers a distance of 600kms approximately en route Mangalore.

The nearest railway stations are Pernem (17.5 kms, 40 – 45 mins), Thivim (21 kms, 1 hour), Sawantwadi Road (33 kms, 1 hr 15 mins), Karmali (38 kms, 1 hour 20 mins) and Madgaon (63 kms, 2 hours). You can either chose cab services, which should cost you around ₹1000 – ₹2500 or rent a scooter/bike at ₹300 – ₹350 per day (Bikes not available from Sawantwadi). Public buses might be available from these railway stations. There are daily train services to Goa from the nearest metro cities Mumbai and Banglore.
For those travelling to Goa by bus, Mapsua Bus Stand is 17 kms and Panaji Bus Stand is 30 kms from the venue. It might take 35-40mins time from Mapusa Bus stand and around 1hr10mins from Panaji Bus Stand. Public buses are available till “Morjim school” stop, which is 1.3 kms away from thre venue. One can also hire cabs which can cost around ₹800 – ₹1500 or rent a bike for ₹300 – ₹350 per day.
